Science saved my soul
This video has been floating about the internet for a couple of months now, but I only just now got around to watching it. It gave me shivers, not just because the content, the concepts and the realisations within this monologue are so mind-blowingly amazing, but also because of how well Phil Hellenes describes the deep ramifications of these concepts.
More after the jump.
While at no stage does Phil ever say that there is definitely no god, nor does he say that there is, and the kind of curiosity and honest questioning he shows is something we should all aspire to. While I disagree with the idea of a soul, and the title is somewhat misleading in this respect, and I do reject the idea of a god, and most definitely reject the human-centric argument that is posited by theists, the video itself is very much the way I would like to approach the questions of our origins on earth, and closely aligns to my understanding of the way the universe works.
I’d be interested in your thoughts on this video. Please feel free to leave them below.
