As a way to say “Thank you” to you my readers, I have decided to give away a copy of Michael Shermer’s new book “The Believing Brain” in hardback, which I purchased intending to give it away here, and had Michael Shermer sign for me during my interview with him last weekend. Think of it as a present from me to you.

Hmmm. I have a signed copy that I got about a month or so ago, bought online from the Skeptics Society. Excellent book, so the one who wins it will have a real prize in their hands. Personally, I enjoyed the heck out of it, and upon doing some referencing of the terminology Mike uses in it, it was an easy read. Now that I'm finished, I'm currently loaning it out to one of my hometown peeps, and I'll be asking him what he thought of it when he's done.

Just bought the book a week ago. Using it for our "Humanist" group book club discussion group in a couple weeks. . I'm about halfway through it. I hope it gets easier to understand cause I'm finding it too difficult to keep my mind focused . I've read a lot better books and am 3/4 of the way through Barbara Walker's "Man Made God". Now, that book is fascinating! Don't get me wrong I think Shermer is awesome but he's got to come down a level. It's like trying to understand the inner workings of a computer which I am useless at.
