Outreach Media – Discontinued

I have decided to discontinue the Outreach Media project. It takes up too much of my time, and frankly, they no longer inspire me to answer them in the way they once did. However I will leave this project here so you can read through them at your leisure.

Firstly, the propaganda they spin is often incorrect, and even more often so biased as to render their messages irrelevant. Secondly, I drive past a church that displays their propaganda every day on my way to work, so I have a daily visible reminder of them. So to me they are fair prey for criticism.

I know that the people at Outreach Media believe themselves to be doing a good thing. They see themselves as helping others to find God while at the same time hopefully luring more young people into the church. I know that they hope to promote the various Christian churches as a good thing, but I think we all know my opinions about organised religion and its tenets.

So here I have complied links to the several articles I have written about their billboards and their messages. Click on the images to read the articles.

  1. That last one is hilarious!

  2. Dear Martin,
    Free expression etc
I disagree … but fight for your right to beleive/say it
I think they are visually interesting – a virtue in a society in danger of blandness, and very thought provoking.
So whats the problem – or will you only rest when all who disagree with you are silence …. or only the dumb and visually incompetent survive?
The people wh o put these posters up seem unlikely to harm you and they might perhaps possible even be right – ian

    • Yep I got it.

Obvious indoctrination: I disagree with the idea of indoctrinating a person into a religion, especially at school. Sure people can make up their own minds, and if they are actually able to do so, then good for them. But Outreach Media prey upon those who are vulnerable, such as children. Would you not say that offering up your organised religious ideas is a dishonest thing to do to a person that is unable to make rational or informed decisions? I disagree with this practice, and I practice my free-speech by saying so.

Sure they are visually interesting but they fall under the banner of “advertising” and should therefore be held accountable for their claims, but since their claim is unfalsifiable, they are allowed to say whatever the hell they want as long as it suits their agenda? No.

  3. can you let me know if you got that – ian
